My very own ugly face
Hi there! Sorry you had the missfortune of landing on this, my humble, late to the game, obsolete and dull space in the net. My name is Miguel Pereira, and I am, just like many others, trying to get my hands on my piece on the internet in hopes that one day a bright idea might come up.
I am originally from Argentina: I was born and raised in Quilmes (Buenos Aires), though I’ve made of D/FW my new home since 2001. I am a professional of the IT industry, mainly dedicated to application and solutions architecture and support. I’ve a passion for data management and problem solving, and have had the privilege of working with some outstanding teams and individuals during the last decade or so of my professional carreer. I am also an active member on several community-driven technology solution online groups, most notably on Experts Exchange, where I periodically strive to aid DBA’s in distress ;o)
Though it might seem unlikely, I have a wide range of interests outside of my profession. I pride myself in being many things, and none at the same time -just a joke: amateur guitar player (love Ibanez & DiMarzio equipment); cars and performance driving; and I guess I can’t forget that I have a certain interest for Salsa & Tango dancing. I’d like to take the opportunity to dispell a myth: despite being born in Argentina, I didn’t grow up dancing or even listening to Tango. That’s been a newfound interest that I’d never thought I’d have. But believe me, Tango can grow on you very quickly.
Why do I need a blog? Allow me to be original: because from time to time I, too, do feel the need to vent frustrations, share experiences or flat out be silly. If you’ve landed here through a search, I hope you find what you were looking for -nothing more annoying than Google giving you bad results!

The Dream Theater Boys & Me
What can you expect to see here? The answer is very simple: whatever I might feel like it. For the time being, it is very likely you will see music gear related articles, Microsoft VB.NET code snippets and niffty solutions for the suffering DBA, scenic drive and weekend getaway destinations within and outside the U.S., raves and rants about my trusty tuna-can on wheels, market updates, job offer postings, record reviews (I am a die-hard fan of Dream Theater and any other prog-rock tunes) that might come across my lap and many other things I might think are relevant -or not.
Hope you enjoy it -or at least that you don’t suffer that much.
I’ve recently attained three MASTER certifications in the Microsoft SQL Server areas of Experts Exchange. Nothing really impressive against the heavy contributors, but nontheless, I achieved these within 45 days of becoming a member. Quite seriously, I think EE helps keep some of my skills sharper than any other kind of excercises I’ve done in the past.

I have a question Mr Miguel: What is Rotary Car? is that your company or just a ramdon name you decided to use.
Thanks,
Sincerely
El chamo!
Dear El Chamo
Verga coño que no me gusta dar explicaciones! But if I must, Rotary Car is in honor of my former little fun car -may it rest in peace.
It all started pretty much like this and the evolved into this. And now, it’s something completely different.
Saludos,
El Argentino.-
