Actually, the idea is [...]]]> Just a quick rant about a good concept gone completely useless. I am one of the allegedly 5000+ blogs on the Arkayne network. For those who might not know this, Arkayne’s premise is: take the related posts across blogs and cross reference them throughout the internet. The idea is noble. Actually, the idea is beautiful: add their code on your blog, let their engine inspect your content, and allow them to show links to other blogs which have posts with topics relevant to yours.

Except that their engine doesn’t seem to be good for anything. On their site they talk about semantics and yadah yadah yahda. I’ve waited a couple of days until Arkayne links started to show on my entries, and what do I get on a Aussie Pink Floyd entry? See for yourself below:

If anyone can explain to me in simple terms the connection between those blog entries and Pink Floyd, send me your address and I’ll mail you a small present (quantity limited to ONE!).

Arkayne = is going away as the most useless WordPress plugin I’ve tried so far. Sorry guys…but in my opinion, a noble idea, with bad execution still SUCKS!

Some of you might be asking: what the heck happened to all the rotary engine articles and some of that good ol’ stuff out there. The truth is, I was sick and tired of some cheap people out there trying to post ads to completely unrelated sites, or offering medicinal male enlargement solutions to the masses. So, http://www.myrotarycar.com is gone as it’s been for the last 3 years and has now morphed into my very own selfish sandbox.
